Today husband Danny and I walked to the nearby Belfast Castle and the forest park and Cave Hill mountain that lie behind it. We had blue skies, strong winds and good times.
We came across this glade in the forest which had huge swathes of wild garlic carpeting the floor though the bluebells were on their way out. We spread out a blanket, ate our picnic and then laid back to watch the trees swirling overhead in the wind. Thank goodness for random Mondays off work.
We'd originally planned to walk to the top of the hill but got lazy and found a sunny spot on really squashy grass and just lay watching the clouds fly past the hill.
The view back towards the city centre including what I believe is the tallest building in Ireland.
